The EdgeWorlds are divided into seven sectors. People use these sectors to denote the stability of the area and how much of it has been charted. Determining these sector borders remains a mystery and is arbitrary, changing throughout the ages. The seven sectors are:
- Alpha Sector
- Beta Sector
- Gamma Sector
- Delta Sector
- Epsilon Sector
- Zeta Sector
- Eta Sector

Alpha Sector
The second smallest sector in the EdgeWorlds, is in the relative center, and is the most charted out region. Union and their allies regulate and control it and monitor the sector’s borders with massive fleets and battle stations. Although it remains stable, a thriving criminal underworld still exists.
This system is also home to U-Prime, the capitol of Union controlled space and their most fortified world. Very few can rival the sheer size or power of their Grand Armada. U-Prime is a strictly regulated world where all must obey the guidelines Union imposes on their citizens, or face reeducation by the MOB (Ministry of Behavior).
It also features the headquarters of GigaMart. A massive mega corporation that sells almost every imaginable good in their giant warehouse space stations. They also have smaller stores on planets across many of the Sectors. Their HQ is an entire planet dedicated to managing their massive corporate empire, where every citizen living there works for the company in some capacity.
Beta Sector
The Beta Sector is larger than the Alpha Sector and slightly less regulated. The region is somewhat stable and accommodates many worlds for convenient living. However, this sector suffers incursions from Union as they always attempt to expand their domain and subjugate other worlds. Countless pirate armadas venture into the uncharted parts of the sector, despite its proximity to Alpha.
This area is also the seat of power for the Golden Sevens Mafia, one of the largest criminal organizations in the EdgeWorlds.
Gamma Sector
Gamma is larger than both Beta and Alpha combined. The level of regulation is also lower. The more stable areas are closer to the vague border between Gamma and Beta. Gamma is a hive of crime and pirate organizations. Much of Captain Death Head’s fleet lives here and uses this region to stage raids into other systems and sectors. Union has also established a foothold here and tries to repel Death Head’s fleet.
This Sector also houses arguably one of the most important systems in all the EdgeWorlds, the Morpheus system, Morpheus III in particular. While not the sole producer, Morpheus III dominates the subspace fuel market with an estimated contribution of over eighty percent. Many factions have their eyes on this planet, but few have attempted to take it and none have succeeded. Most prefer to remain on their good side, and thus the Morpheus system maintains its autonomy.
This Sector was also once the location of the Callisto Station, a massive resort and casino known across the EdgeWorlds that was run by the Golden Sevens Mafia.
Delta Sector
Delta is both smaller and less regulated than Gamma. It contains many small population centers and large colony ships that roam the cosmos, following predetermined routes. Union has a strong foothold in the zone and continues to grow but clashes with the forces of Shard. This sector is also the home of the planet Mechanicron, an artificial planet populated by advanced machines. Two AIs control this world, named KING and QUEEN.
Epsilon Sector
The largest and most lawless sector. Although certain areas have been mapped, numerous sections have not. This sector is also home to Exaal and Hylus’ branch of Shard. They often clash with Union and larger pirate factions in the area. Despite the rampant lawlessness, a few areas remain stable, with mobile space colonies traversing the sector, moving between planets. However, they must remain watchful for pirate attacks.
Zeta Sector
The smallest sector, most of its worlds are not habitable, but are mineral rich. This has led to many warring factions fighting over its resources. Space stations reside in the massive asteroid and debris belts. Furthermore, the Aves Belt encompasses multiple worlds inhabited by numerous bird-like aliens. Once the penguin homeworld Aves was here, before its mysterious destruction. Close to the Aves Belt is the Agni Nebula, a beautiful region of bright oranges and reds. Many mining colonies belonging to the Pidae Tal Mining Union live here as well and harvest resources to sell to others.

Eta Sector
The Eta Sector has the nickname Shadow Sector, but nobody knows its actual size because of the Shadow Storms engulfing it. Powerful magic creates these storms, scrambling the systems of many ships and rendering scanning equipment useless. Many ships have ventured into these storms hoping to find ancient lost technology or mystic relics, few return. Because of this, no one is sure what lies in the sector. Only one area is clear of the storms and contains a massive star named Solus, which is believed to be the largest and oldest sun in the EdgeWorlds.
