A closer look at some of the major characters in the Renegades series

Heroes

The heroes of the Renegades series come in all shapes and sizes be it part of the team or not. Each one has a special set of skills that will aid in fighting the dark forces threatening the world of Terra.

RONIN

A mysterious blue creature with an equally enigmatic past, very little is known about Ronin’s origins. Even the name Ronin is an alias given to him by his allies as he suffers from extreme amnesia and remembers very little. His bizarre ability to manipulate ice and water, his sword skills, lightning-quick speeds, and agility make him a force to be reckoned with. Often laid back and carefree, even in the thick of things, Ronin enjoys being in the middle of a fight and isn’t afraid to taunt and toy with his foes. Although he comes off as cocky and arrogant, he has the skills to back it up.

SIERRA

A teenage girl trained by her mother to be an elite soldier. Sierra is fiercely determined and relentlessly pursues Ivan, the leader of a dangerous terrorist organization. She does this for one reason, to rescue her father from Ivan’s clutches. Sierra is an expert marksman and displays exceptional skills with military tactics and firearms. Before she met the others, she hunted Ivan alone. She quickly became a minor thorn in his side as she would raid his safe houses and thwart his operations.
Her abrasive, blunt, and headstrong personality often causes her to clash with her team members, but beneath all of that is a much softer side that she rarely displays around others.
Serving as the team leader for the Renegades, Sierra will do whatever it takes to stop Ivan and other villainous foes.

DRAKE

A former professional boxer augmented with cybernetics. Drake lived in an orphanage. After he aged out, he met a human man that raised him as a son and trained him to become a professional boxer. Drake quickly rose in the ranks and challenged the heavyweight champion of the league to a fight and won. This victory was short-lived as his limo entered the crossfire of a battle between Ivan’s forces and the authorities. An explosion from a rocket launcher nearly killed him and took the lives of his mentor and close friends. Drake awoke in the hospital later with his arms missing and learned they would have to be replaced with cybernetics. After getting his new arms, Drake swore revenge. As the oldest team member, Drake often mediates conflicts within the Renegades and uses his enhanced strength and boxing skills to help in combat. He tends to keep a cool head, but you do not want to be on the receiving end when his temper does flare up.

SAM

A teenage delinquent with an affinity for hoverboards. Sam is a daredevil who has had multiple run-ins with the law before joining the Renegades. Sam is often laid back, easygoing, and quick-witted but has a temper when pushed. After Ivan killed his father and little brother, Sam ended up in the same boat as Sierra and joined her and the others in their hunt for Ivan. Because of his lack of experience, Sam relies on his hoverboard and agility to scrape by.

ISAAC

A child prodigy. Due to the genetic alterations forced upon him by the Excelus corporation, Isaac displays an intelligence far exceeding a twelve-year-old child. Despite his genius-level intellect, Isaac is plagued with extreme social anxiety, further exacerbated by a dangerous secret he keeps from everyone, even his closest friend. In addition to coming up with the team’s strategies, plans, and gear, Isaac pilots a mechanized suit called an Anima Shell to help support his friends on the ground.

TECH

Another child prodigy. Instead of genetic modifications, Tech, real name Tony, had most of his brain replaced with a cybernetic prototype called the Archimedes. This further amplified his high intelligence and allowed him to wirelessly interface with computers and control technology with his thoughts. This has had a profound effect on his demeanor and personality. Tech rarely expressed emotion and spoke matter-of-factly, making it difficult to interact with others. Before joining the Renegades, Isaac was his only friend. Working alongside Isaac, Tech helps with developing and repairing the team’s gear, developing strategies, collecting valuable intelligence, and hacking.

VILLIANS

There are many agents of chaos and villainy running amuck on Terra that the Renegades have to contend with and like them, their foes come in all shapes and sizes.

KENJI

A mysterious white wolf assassin. Kenji is a master swordsman and his cybernetics augment his impressive agility, speed, and ninjitsu . Very few can keep up with him as he can effortlessly deflect bullets out of the air with his swords. His past and reasons for working for Ivan and his terrorist organization remain a mystery but one thing is certain: do not underestimate him lest you be cut down in a second.
